Tracy Martin
Who I am and what I do:
Tracy Martin, Third Grade Teacher
Why I work here:
St. Agnes is more than a school, it is a family. I love the support and respect which is given to each member of our school; students, teachers, parents, and visitors. I know that as a teacher I have the support of my colleagues, the parents, and the administration.
What I love to teach:
My favorite subject to teach is social studies. It is so important for the children to understand other people and cultures. They learn how history has shaped our world. The children can also learn to look at events from different points of view. In third grade we also some have wonderful end-of-unit celebrations.
I also enjoy helping the children to learn life lessons by observing the third grade classroom gerbils raising their babies.
What I do when I’m not at school:
I love to spend time with my family. We camp each summer, spending a great deal of time at the beach. We also like to hike or just take the dog for a walk around town.
I also love going to the movies and eating movie popcorn!
Going on road trips with my friends and family is always a good time!
Other things I love:
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
The color green
Penguins
Harry Potter — both the books and the movies
