Joanne Cole

Who I am and what I do:
I have been involved in music since I started piano lessons at 7 years old!  I was a student at St. Agnes School from 5th -8th grade and my 3 sons have attended St. Agnes as well!  I have been a music teacher since I graduated from Eastman.  Most of my work was at Perry Central School where I taught band and general music.  I am so happy to have the opportunity to be back at St. Agnes since my retirement from Perry in June.

Why I love to work at St. Agnes School:
The students and the faculty are so nice and caring!  It is great to be back at the school that both my children and I attended.  It is a small and loving community.

Why I love to teach:
I love to teach anything about music… listening, singing, dancing, playing, and learning about composers and theory.  I am looking forward to leading my students in a performance soon!

What I do when I am not at school:
I love playing golf and I’m in two golf leagues during the summer.  I also love the outdoors, going camping and hiking.  In the winter I love to cross stitch and read.

Other things I love:
I love to play the piano and organ.  I play the organ every Sunday at a local church.  I have also accompanied a local performing group 0 “Moonglow”.  Miss D was part of that group as well.  And I love spending time with my family and friends.
