Elizabeth Dowd
Who I am and what I do:
Elizabeth Dowd, Principal
Why I work here:
I view teaching children here at St. Agnes as a gift. My hope is that every student I work with will know that I care about their hearts first. I will empathize with them, respect them, and fully believe that each child has something special that can be built upon. Witnessing students overcome challenges and meet their goals, make lasting childhood memories and friendships, AND grow in their personal faith is simply amazing!
What I do when I’m not at school:
Making lots of memories with my special family! John and I have three wonderful children (Emmaline, Sophie Mae and Johnny) and a cuddly cat named Mittens.
Other things I love:
I love cooking, reading, gardening, biking, movie nights and the Lake Life! I especially enjoy boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing and campfires on Skaneateles Lake.
Education Bio:
• BA in Psychology from SUNY Cortland
• Elementary Education Certification from Roberts Wesleyan College
• MA in Elementary Literacy from Walden University
