Dear friend,

For more than 140 years, St. Agnes School in Avon, NY, has been everything education should be–demanding, nurturing, and empowering.  For us, success is more than high grades and test scores–it is the certainty that our students are growing into people of conscience and kindness.  St. Agnes students excel in both school and life, and I am proud of the many ways they make this world a better place.

Education is a journey–not a race.  As American schools become more and more focused on test-based achievement markers, many parents and children feel adrift in a sea of educational jargon they do not fully understand.  At St. Agnes School, we do more than Common Core by combining data-based instruction with old-fashioned teacher know-how for an education that works.  Every day our teachers, clergy, and parent volunteers work together to teach students important skills that help them succeed in both school and life.  Our experienced teachers will give your child a strong foundation in language arts, sciences, and math, while helping them develop life-long study skills that will bring them success at challenging middle and high schools throughout our region.

Still, St. Agnes School is more than a prep school.  Our intensive, data-based curricula is balanced with opportunities for hands-on experimentation and play.  Every full-day student at St. Agnes School–from Kindergarten through Sixth grade–receives an hour break in the middle of the day (thirty minutes for lunch, plus another thirty minutes for outside recess), allowing children to refresh both their minds and their bodies before returning to their work each afternoon.  Special classes, such as Art, Music, and Physical Education, encourage students to strengthen their bodies and their talents while our religious education helps students of all faiths to grow in Catholic values of love, kindness, and social justice. Above all, we believe that childhood is sacred; in all we do, we strive to make St. Agnes School a place where your child is loved and appreciated, a place where they can be their truest self.

Thank you for considering St. Agnes School, a place where education, faith, and goodness come together in perfect harmony. Come visit us and see the goodness for yourself; call the school office at (585) 226-8500 to schedule a tour.

We look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth K. Jensen
