Emily Pettingill

Meet Emily Pettingill

Physical Education teacher at St. Agnes School.

It’s important for kids to explore through movement, learning body and space awareness. It’s important for me, as a teacher to create an open, inviting and fun space where kids can learn to grow into themselves.

Why I work here —

I love the excitement of elementary school students, the face they make when they learn something new or conquer something they never have before.  Watching them grow, learn and move!

Favorite things to plan for PE —

Learning through movement, cooperation games, motor skills and sport specifics making PE fun for all types of learners.

What I like to do when I’m not at work —

When I am not teaching, you can find me coaching on the tennis courts, in the gym or on the softball diamond. When I’m not coaching or giving private lessons, I become the player again in one of the many softball leagues I can’t get away from.

Other favorites —

My favorite color is blue and if I could eat tacos every day of the week, I would.

Education Bio —
